Two Section Nerd Fishing Custom Barrier 86H Spinning Fishing Rod 15-70gr 250cm
The rod, 2.5m long, was set up for me by George Kalaganis to cover the personal concerns I had especially in fishing 14-20 gram shots even in waters up to 20 meters deep. Somewhere there, the classic 14-42 spiny rods could not cope successfully. In the background were the hard artificial ones and especially the surface ones. The rod arrived in my hands in early August 2022 and has been fished regularly since then. It is well made, with impeccable work on the bindings and the 10 (!!) guides it has. My conclusions in more detail:
Plans: This was the first requirement of this targeted creation. It really excels from 14g to 25g. The ultimate plan for Greek waters major craft jigpara tg can now dance comfortably up and down the water column up to a little under 20 meters deep, in weights of 14-18 up to 24 grams. The shot comes out uncut in the 70-90 meter zone. Where I understood that everything was done correctly was when I managed to hit with dignity, on the mentioned bottom, slow shots of 20gr by majorcraft, daiwa and palms. That's what I asked for, so it happened. Depth does not steal the power of the rod! Bingo!! In fast retrieves, skipping and close to the surface it casts and hits anything up to 33g and if it is a simple retrieve it will not say no to 40. The bath of the shot comes nicely in the hands of the user.
Artificial Surface – WTD: Plays very nicely and comfortably anything from 7 to 35 grams. Takes any action with minimal effort and excels on all surface bass (skimmer etc). A notable one is the 20-gram artificials of 35 grams like the ΒR-200 of Kostas Kezos where he gives change with an incredibly slow rhythm (Dead Slow). It goes so slow and so attractive at the same time that the gophers were impossible to resist. While in the shot with the volume of the bait the blank is "crushed", as soon as it falls into the water the choreography begins... You feel like diving into the sea to be the first one!!!
Small-medium minnows and pencils: Very nice feeling in the entire range marginally (with effort) up to the 28 grams (savage gear – mommoti) that were tested. The shot is good-comfortable while its optimum is around 20g like for example the duo lance 120 where its swimming, with all the vibrations produced, reaches the base of the rod. Flawless in feel and far in distance, all runners up to 30 grams.
Silicones: A few tests, it gave me a good feeling, of course it was not made for this purpose.
Conclusion: Excellent for fishing for game fish, small tunas (bonitos), gophers in fish that brought close to 3 kg (gophers) and of course sea bass. The nailing is strong and sure. His parabola is controlled, it also goes to the 1st stem, it has been influenced by the (I think ideal) distances that George has placed the guides. It is set with any fast mechanism of size 3000 or 4000 depending on the fishing the user wants to do.
